The Hon. John M. Morris L’10, who was sworn into office in January after prevailing in his fall campaign, is the first ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law graduate to preside in the North Carolina system that oversees felony criminal trials and civil cases involving more than $25,000.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Dua was honored at Commencement for the Class of 2022 with the David Gergen Award for Leadership & Professionalism in recognition of an unwavering commitment to serving his colleagues, his law school, and the community.

Margaret Dudley, supervising attorney for the Emergency Legal Services Program, was recognized as an N.C. Legal Legend of Color in a ceremony that followed an ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law reception at the North Carolina Bar Association’s 2022 annual meeting.

Haley Mendola L’18 will write articles, recruit authors, and plan events over the next year as an associate editor for TYL Magazine, a publication of the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division.

Efforts by Hannah Joly L'19 led to the establishment of the School of Law Bar Support Fund managed by the Office of Academic Success.
