ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ trustee Vicky Hunt and her husband Sam have made gifts totaling $1 million to help fund the new softball stadium on campus.

A March 28 program allowed current students to thank donors whose gifts have made university experiences possible.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s The Night of the Phoenix event, now in its fifth year of existence, surpassed all expectations on Feb. 17, raising more than $150,000 for student-athlete scholarships.

More than 700 young alumni have made gifts to the university and participated in the final IGNITE Challenge, which ends on March 31. Here's a sampling of what they said after making their gifts.

Described as “talented at business and a genius at friendship,” a North Carolina textile magnate was honored for Founders Day 2012.

The goal? To surpass last year’s record-setting 60 percent participation by ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ employees.

More than 28,000 faculty and staff, alumni, parents and friends participated in Ever ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ: The Campaign for the Future of Our University, which concluded on Dec. 31, 2011, and raised $107.3 million to support the people, programs and facilities at our university.
