Watson & Odyssey Scholars study community engagement in Atlanta

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ's Watson & Odyssey Scholars Program and the Study USA office co-sponsored a "Fake Break" program in late January for students to visit with corporate foundation offices at Coca-Cola, Major League Baseball's Atlanta Braves, the International Rescue Committee and more.

The father of Kenn Gaither, associate dean in the School of Communications, helped shape the Civil Rights Movement when he was among a group of young men who in 1961 used a "jail, no bail" tactic at a segregated South Carolina lunch counter. Their convictions were vacated on Jan. 28, 2015 - nearly 54 years to the day after their arrests.

Winter Term class partners with Arbor Day Foundation

Students in an ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Core Curriculum capstone course led by faculty members in the Martha & Spencer Love School of Business and ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ College, the College of Arts & Sciences, spent eight days in Peru sharing with farmers ideas to improve their land while growing their revenues.
