The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law preceptor program provides students with a unique opportunity to engage with members of the legal community. The program pairs first-year law students with attorneys who volunteer to serve as mentors and coaches.

The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law Review recently published volume three, issue two, featuring scholarly articles written about transparency, secrecy and the Internet, and volume four, issue one, featuring articles and essays on various legal topics.

The 2012 Symposium of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law Review will examine, “Emerging Issues in First Amendment Jurisprudence: Interpreting the Relationship Between Religion and the State in the Modern Age." Proposals for participation in the October 26 symposium should be submitted by July 15.

Thirty-three teams of law students representing 21 law schools participated in the second annual Billings, Exum & Frye National Moot Court Competition at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ School of Law on March 30 and 31. North Carolina Supreme Court Justice Paul Martin Newby delivered the keynote address at the competition banquet.

The Honorable Sandra Day O'Connor and former presidential adviser David Gergen spoke at the Conference on Law and Leadership.

The Conference on Law and Leadership brought together leaders in law, legal education and business to discuss the role of lawyers as leaders.
