The Information Technology Service Desk will extend its hours to offer technology assistance to the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ community during the university's transition to online learning.

The campus-wide change made in response to the COVID-19 outbreak comes as classes resume following Spring Break. Since ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ announced the change on March 11, faculty members have been working diligently to create robust online learning experiences for students.

The new policy was enacted in response to questions and concerns raised by ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ faculty, students and staff due to the extraordinary circumstances created by the coronavirus outbreak.

Associate Professor Amy Allocco's preparations for a shift to online learning are just one example of the efforts by faculty across the campus in response to the coronavirus outbreak, which has meant a temporary suspension of in-person classes.

Out of an abundance of caution related to COVID-19, the Office of Undergraduate ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ has canceled campus visits and a number of on-campus admissions events for prospective and admitted students.

Along with important updates to the academic schedule and campus operations, President Book offers her support for those impacted by the coronavirus outbreak and her appreciation for the efforts of students, faculty and staff.

As students prepare to continue the semester online for the two weeks following Spring Break, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ parents are welcoming them home to a campus away from campus.

The decision comes as ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ takes action to reduce the potential health risk to students, faculty and staff and to confront the rapid spread of COVID-19.

All undergraduate courses will move from classroom instruction to online learning mode for the two weeks following Spring Break in response to the coronavirus. The university is offering a host of resources to help with the transition.
