The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Acting Program is celebrating the five-year anniversary of its partnership with Theatre Academy of London, a study abroad program for acting students.

The Dec. 1 report detailed the high demand among students for study abroad experiences as the university prepares for Winter Term, when many students leave campus to study around the globe.

Hamel and Vandermast, together with co-authors from Dartmouth College and Grinnell College, published a study in the fall 2021 issue of Scholarship and Practice of Undergraduate Research, a peer-reviewed journal of the Council of Undergraduate Research.

The generous estate gift from The Rev. Joyce Myers-Brown ’59 of Atlanta will deepen funding for a scholarship she established in 2011 to increase access to global study. The gift is part of A Will to Lead, a special initiative of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ LEADS Campaign to encourage donors to include the university in their estate plans.

As part of their sophomore Periclean coursework, members of the Periclean Scholars Class of 2024 created interactive exercises and discussion questions related to the Common Reading, and worked with fellow ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students as peer-educators to facilitate engagement with this text.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ ranked #7 among 150 partner universities for the number of Peace Corps Prep certificates issued this year.

Joshua Hollands, lecturer at University College London Institute of the Americas, will be a visiting professor of history at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ. His teaching will focus on social justice movements in the LGBTQ community in the United States.
