Patch, senior lecturer in English and College Writing (ENG 110) Coordinator, has been elected vice president of the Council of Writing Program Administrators. She will become president of the organization in 2021.

Alumni, students, families, faculty, staff and friends gave 6,376 gifts and more than $2.3 million in honor of the day, propelling this year’s ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Day celebration to new heights.

Professor Paula Rosinski and Assistant Professor Heather Lindenman led a faculty/staff workshop on the personal, professional and civic writing in which ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students engage and how we might integrate what students learn from this kind of writing into our classrooms.

Baris Kesgin’s recent publication looks into how political leaders attend to different audiences in their foreign policy statements. Kesgin’s paper “,” is published in Turkish Studies, an international, peer-reviewed journal.
