Nineteen ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ alumni from the Class of 2011 will return to the classroom this fall as part of Teach for America, a national nonprofit that recruits and trains new college graduates to help erase educational inequities found in many urban and rural low-income communities. It is the largest number of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ alumni ever selected into the program for the same academic year.

Meaghan Britain, a 2011 Strategic Communications graduate, is the recipient of a U.S. State Department scholarship to study, work and live in Germany for a year.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ has released its President's List and Dean's List academic recognitions for the 2011 spring semester.

A team of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ staff and graduate students led by Ross Wade, assistant director of Career Services in the School of Communications, won an Innovative Excellence Award on June 2 from the National Association of Colleges and Employers at the organization’s national conference in Dallas.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ thanks the more than 4,500 alumni who have made gifts to the university this fiscal year, which ends at midnight tonight.
