Undergraduate research journal celebrates 20th edition

Issues in Political Economy, the undergraduate research journal published jointly by the economics departments at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ and the University of Mary Washington, recently published its 20th anniversary volume.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ to launch LIFE@ELON, a lifelong learning institute

This September, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ will begin a new lifelong education program designed for people aged 50 and older. The learning institute, called LIFE@ELON, will feature weekly presentations conducted in interactive format. The learning community will be led by current and retired ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ faculty and staff members and other area educators.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ grad explores forgiveness in mental health community

Caregivers can face special challenges when helping clients with emotional, behavioral and learning disabilities. Leigh Ann Stutts ’11 explores these challenges and exposes gaps in caregiver training – including the need to learn forgiveness – in a recent edition of the The Open Mind, the newsletter of the Durham, N.C., chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

Notable in recent weeks was regional media coverage of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ School of Law's full accreditation from the American Bar Association, regional stories and broadcasts on ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ's new head women's basketball coach, and mention of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Poll by the Los Angeles Times and Chicago Tribune.
