The School of Health Sciences hosted an interprofessional education session on Wednesday, Nov. 30, that included students from the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Physician Assistant Program, the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Doctor of Physical Therapy Program and the Alamance Community College Nursing Program.  

Professor Pranab Das delivered at talk entitled "Emergence and Active Matter: Dynamics and the Materials of Life" to the Neuroscience Research Center at the Champalimaud Institute in Lisbon, Portugal on Nov. 16.

Khristin Landry-Montes, visiting instructor of art history, has published an article with Jeff Kowalski, professor emeritus of art history at Northern Illinois University, in the International Journal of the Inclusive Museum. 

The assistant professor of law and director of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law's Humanitarian Immigration Law Clinic writes about helping asylees in the United States reach the "American dream."

Kirstin Ringelberg, professor of art history, presented a paper Oct. 29, 2016, at the 19th century French Studies Conference hosted by Brown University. 

Paula Patch described the outcome of a CATL Scholar project to revise tools education licensure candidates use to demonstrate grammar competency

The two-day event is part of the Comprehensive Student Record Project that is a partnership between the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Officers and NASPA with funding from the Lumina Foundation. 

Guatemalan graduate student Marco Saz visited ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ to immerse himself culturally in the United States and share his expertise on education with youth at risk with ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students, faculty and staff.

Three ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ faculty members affiliated with the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning presented at the 41st annual conference of the POD Network in Higher Education held Nov. 9-13 in Louisville, Kentucky.

The associate professor of education and director of the Teaching Fellows program was involved in two different presentations at the NCTE Annual Convention in Atlanta, Georgia from Nov. 17-20.
