Students and faculty members of the School of Communications participated in the 23rd annual Spring Undergraduate Research Forum, sharing their scholarship with the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ community.

The Department of Sport and Event Management course partnered with ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Athletics and the Office of Student Activities to host an April 23 block party in conjunction with a busy afternoon of on-campus sporting events.

Five members of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ community and one School of Communications graduate attended the 12th annual conference of The Forum on Education Abroad.  

The Los Angeles-based technology consultant noted that his connection to his alma mater continues to grow with every passing year, thanks to the friends and mentors he found on campus.

The school hosted its annual awards ceremony on April 21 to recognize high achievement from students and faculty during the past academic year.

The assistant professor of sport and event management played a prominent role in the collegiate recreational sports organization’s April conference, serving as program chair and facilitating five presentations and workshops.

The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ School of Communications is home to more Ph.D. graduates from UNC’s School of Media and Journalism than any other program in the nation – a fact discovered as the UNC school celebrates 50 years of doctoral education.

A film by School of Communications students Amory Parks ’16, Lauren Duncan ’17 and Jacky Shacknow ’16 captured second place in the 2016 RiverRun International Film Festival’s Documentary Pitch Fest, a student competition judged by industry experts.

Rajat Agarwal ’16, Sky Cowans ’16 and Andrew Steinitz ’17 will face off against teams from Clemson University and Fort Hays State University in a student video competition hosted during the 2016 NAB Show, held April 18-21 in Las Vegas.
