The Periclean Scholars Class of 2008 is a group of students at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ dedicated to reducing the impact of poverty in Chiapas, Mexico, through education. Our mission is to address a Mayan community’s educational needs through sustainable methods in partnership with Schools for Chiapas. In addition, the Class of 2008 will combat poverty in the Hispanic communities of Alamance County and work to raise local awareness about the plight of the Mayan people of Chiapas.
