Jasmine Whaley '13 is seeking to raise $30,000 to expand the Rita Rose Garden in Kisumu, Kenya, a sustainable community garden led by 88 women entrepreneurs that works to feed and support more than 900 people.

Orders are now being taken for From a Grove of Oaks: The Story of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ, a richly illustrated book by Professor Emeritus of History George W. Troxler.

Three outstanding members of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ community were honored with the LGBTQIA Community Enrichment Awards during an event Nov. 10 in McKinnon Hall.

As the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ community gathered to celebrate 125 years of rich history during Homecoming 2013, the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Black Alumni Network celebrated the accomplishments of black alumni, students and faculty at its annual Black Alumni Scholarship Gala Nov. 9.

The Nov. 8 event, part of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s yearlong quasquicentennial celebration, kicked off this year’s Homecoming Weekend festivities with the recognition of seven distinguished alumni.

Seven outstanding alumni were recognized for their professional success, community engagement and loyal support of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ at a Nov. 8 ceremony that is part of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's Homecoming celebrations.

To mark ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's 125th anniversary, 125 alumni from around the nation formed a "Log Maroon Line" as part of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s 2013 Fall Convocation on Oct. 3, which was headlined by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.

There are many things that make ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ a special place: its sense of community, its people, its traditions.
