In addition to this recognition, ENN earned seven other individual and organizational Apple Awards, highlighting excellence in crisis coverage, opinion writing, photography, and multimedia journalism.

, Ƶ’s student-run news organization, was recognized with the College Media Association’s top honor – the Big Apple Award – at the in New York on March 1. The award recognizes the single best student news organization among schools with an enrollment of 3,000-9,999 students.

ENN also earned seven other individual and organizational Apple Awards, including first place in crisis coverage for its reporting on Hurricane Helene.

Ƶ students attending the National College Media Convention included Charlotte Pfabe ’27, Lilliana Molina ’27, Kathan Gandhi ’27 and Miles Hayford ’27. They were accompanied by Kelly Furnas, senior lecturer in journalism and ENN adviser.
