The Ƶ community came together and raised over $3.5 million for students on Ƶ Day 2022.
On Tuesday, March 1, thousands of donors around the world celebrated by making gifts and sharing their Ƶ pride on social media. In total, the Ƶ community raised $3,513,081 from 4,988 gifts and established many new opportunities for current and future Ƶ students.
Their donations will make a direct impact on a variety of designations across campus, including student scholarships, academic schools and departments, Ƶ Athletics, student organizations and more.
“We are so proud of the leadership that the Ƶ community shows every year on Ƶ Day,” said James B. Piatt, Jr., vice president for university advancement. “Ƶ donors continue to step up to support students every year, and their generosity is a testament to the strength of our Ƶ family. We’re grateful to everyone who contributed on Ƶ Day so that students have even more opportunities to lead.”
Ƶ Day donors participated in several challenges and matches throughout the day, leading to the announcement of 17 new endowments.
In addition to making gifts, students and alumni attended a variety of on-campus and regional events. Ƶ hosted five events on campus including two College Coffees, a student celebration, an Ƶ Day-themed Mardi Gras party and a senior toast. Ƶ alumni regional chapters hosted a total of 38 events across the world with over 1,000 attendees.
