Black Business Ink names Gregory ‘Carl’ Hairston Jr. ’11 G’15 to ’40 Under 40’ list

The honor recognizes 40 outstanding African American business and community leaders in North Carolina’s Piedmont Triad.

“These outstanding leaders are confident, ambitious and achievement-oriented,” said Richard L. Williams, publisher and editor-in-chief at Black Business Ink, about the honorees. “They help build their community, seek new challenges at work, and aren’t afraid to question authority.”

The award recipients were recognized at an awards gala on Feb. 22 in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Hairston is the associate athletic director for external relations at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. He graduated from Ƶ with a bachelor’s degree in marketing in 2011 and the MBA in 2015. While at Ƶ, Hairston was involved with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, SMART Mentoring, Ƶ Sales Team and Black Cultural Society.
