Directed by Stephen Futrell
The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ choirs, Chorale and Camerata combine with ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Festival Orchestra to present Handel’s timesless masterwork. In celebration of Futrell’s 20th year at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ choral alumni will return to join the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ choirs in performing. Selections for all three sections of Messiah will be performed. Guest vocal soloists include: Julie Celona Van Gorden, soprano; Mary Gayle Greene, alto; Paul Groves, tenor; and Kevin Bell, bass.
If others in the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ community would like to sing with the choirs, please contact Futrell at sfutrell@elon.edu. A dress rehearsal is scheduled on Thursday, April 25 at 7 p.m. in McCrary Theatre. Everyone is encouraged to attend the dress rehearsal to complete one run with the mass choir.
