More than 100 members of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ community attended the Oct. 17 event that kicked off this year’s Homecoming festivities with the recognition of eight distinguished alumni and class and affinity volunteers.

Plans for a new academic complex excited alumni, students and faculty who gathered Friday to help launch a fundraising drive that, once complete, will allow ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ to double the amount of campus space dedicated to the School of Communications.

As part of the Homecoming 2014 festivities, the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Black Alumni Network celebrated the accomplishments of black alumni, faculty and staff during a special celebration.

On Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law - 201 N. Greene St., Greensboro, N.C., the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Law Review will host a symposium on media, regulatory and labor issues in college sports. 

The awards are the highest accolades conferred by the Office of Alumni Engagement and have been presented annually to alumni and friends of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ since 1941.

Class members contributed more than $95,000 to the university in honor of the milestone.

On Saturday, October 18, 2014, f rom 10 am to 2 pm, at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ School of Law, 201 North Greene Street, in Greensboro, North Carolina, "Ask a Lawyer Day" will allow members of the Greensboro community to speak with a lawyer about the legal questions they may have, and no fee is charged.
