The Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah is approved by the university as an excused-absence holiday.
The holiday lasts until after sundown on Oct. 4. The majority of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students observe the holiday only for the first day which lasts until after sundown on Oct. 3.
