ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Orchestra

Thomas Erdmann directs the first concert of his 11th season with the orchestra featuring ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ faculty Matthew Buckmaster (trombone) for Alan Hovhaness’ hauntingly lovely “Overture for Strings and Trombone”, and Victoria Fischer Faw (piano) on J.C. Bach’s lively “Piano Concerto in B-flat Major.” In addition the orchestra performs Gustav Mahler’s 1876 “Piano Quartet” in a version for full orchestra. Works by Brahms and Nelhybel are also on the program.
