The Island Packet of Beaufort County, S.C., published a column by recent ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ graduate Tori Spearman '12 on July 18.
Spearman’s piece, titled “A Smile is a Universal Language,” focused on her study abroad experience in Jamkhed, India, during Winter Term 2012. She and her ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ compatriots volunteered with the Comprehensive Rural Health Project in some of India’s most desolate slums.
A Beaufort native, Spearman plans to attend the Charleston School of Law in the fall.
