ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ alumni and parents are invited to join the Phoenix basketball teams this weekend in Asheville, N.C., for the Southern Conference tournament.
Join the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Alumni Association and our Asheville Alumni Chapter to cheer on the Phoenix for a tournament experience you won’t want to miss!
***Updated information regarding a change to the afternoon alumni/parent gathering and the tipoff time for the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ women’s game on March 3 is highlighted in bold type.
- Get your tournament started on Saturday, March 3, with a gathering for ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ fans at UNC-Asheville’s Kimmel Arena, Room 411 () at 2:30 p.m. before the Phoenix women’s first-round game, which tips at 4 p.m. You must have a game ticket to attend this gathering because the event is held inside Kimmel Arena.
- After the women’s game, head to Scully’s Bar & Grille (13 Walnut Street, Asheville) at 6:30 p.m. The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Alumni Association and the Asheville Chapter will provide complimentary appetizers and soft drinks, and a cash bar will be available. Please RSVP for the social at (registration is preferred for planning purposes, but walk-up attendees will be welcome).
- After the social, travel just a half-mile down the road to U.S. Cellular Center (formerly Asheville Civic Center) for the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ men’s team’s first game, which tips at 8:30 p.m. (arena located at 87 Haywood Street, Asheville).
Alumni and parents may purchase your tickets through the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Athletics ticket office (336-278-6750) or online via . Ticket prices are as follows:
- Saturday games: $16 adults/$12 students
- Sunday and Monday games: $20 adults/$15 students
