Standout junior wide receiver Aaron Mellette has been named to the AP's All-America first team for the DIvision I Football Championship Subdivision.

Mellette appeared on the AP’s All-America second team in 2010.
In 2011, Mellette led all FCS receivers in receptions per game (10.27) and receiving yards per game (149). His 1,639 receiving yards set ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ and Southern Conference records, surpassing the 1,633 yards gained by Mellette’s former teammate and fellow standout receiver Terrell Hudgins in 2009.
Mellette’s recognition means ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ football has had at least one AP All-American in each of the past seven seasons.
