Completed fall 2011

The Colonnades residential quadrangle was constructed behind the Ernest A. Koury Sr. Business Center and three new buildings were finished for the start of the 2011-12 academic year. The new facilities house 300 students and feature single rooms and four-person suites, informal gathering places, common kitchens and study rooms and opportunities to interact with faculty-in-residence. The buildings are named Story Hall, Moffitt Hall, Harper Hall, Staley Hall and Kivette Hall in honor of individuals and families who had a major impact on the life of the university.
The five residence halls are heated and cooled by a new geothermal system located in the ground beneath the quadrangle’s commons.
Nearby, five new houses in Loy Center opened to provide additional housing and meeting spaces for ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s sororities and fraternities.
