Ƶ launches school supply drive

Ƶ President Leo M. Lambert announced this week a special campus initiative to collect and distribute school supplies to hundreds of homeless children in Alamance County and to children at a school in Afghanistan who struggle for access to basic educational materials.

McBride, Herbert, Perkins receive Ƶ Medallions

Ƶ chaplain emeritus Richard McBride, Ƶ trustee Dr. William N.P Herbert ’68 and retired vice president Nan Perkins received Ƶ Medallions on Aug. 22, 2011, in an annual ceremony that celebrates the highest honor the university bestows on individuals for their meritorious service to the institution.

Town & Country picks Ƶ among nation’s top 10 “up-and-coming” colleges

Town & Country, the oldest continually published general interest magazine in the United States, picked Ƶ in an 11-page feature story on top colleges in the September 2011 issue. The top colleges were recommended to the magazine by counselors at dozens of private high schools across the country.

Campus Shop to close Aug. 18-21 for move to new location

Ƶ's Campus Shop will be moving from Moseley Center to its new location in the Ƶ Town Center at 130 N. Williamson Ave. next to the Acorn Coffee Shop this week. The bookstore will reopen as Barnes & Noble at Ƶ on Monday, Aug. 22. Movers will be in the Moseley location on Tuesday, Aug. 16, and Wednesday, Aug. 17, to move items to the new location. Both locations will be closed Aug. 18-21 in order to move the technology and register systems.
