Vic Zodda ’45 honored for service to baseball in southern Virginia

The Peninsula Pilots, of the Coastal Plains collegiate summer baseball league, honored Vic Zodda '45 at a game on June 28. Zodda served as general manager of the "Baby Dodgers," a Class A affiliate of the Brooklyn Dodgers that played in nearby Newport News, Va., in the 1940s and '50s.

Zodda, of Williamsburg, Va., attended ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ to play baseball before leaving to serve in World War II. He was profiled in an article on DailyPress.com, a news website covering the Tidewater region of Virginia.
