About 300 middle and high school students are expected to come to ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Thursday, March 24 to participate in this year’s annual Envirothon competition.

For Michelle Ferrier, food represents a part of life that everyone not only takes part in, but is continuously affected by on many levels. So when she had the opportunity to develop a website around a local topic, the associate professor of communications chose local food, or eating geographically, as the focus of , a website she launched last year.

With less than two weeks to go in the IGNITE Challenge, 470 young alumni have made gifts to the university and had them matched 5-to-1 by ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ alumna and trustee Kerrii Brown Anderson ’79. The total raised so far is $150,403. Young alumni can support the program, department, school or opportunity they valued most at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ to reach the goal of 1,200 donors by March 31.
