The School of Communications on Aug. 2 welcomed students enrolled in the second year of the master’s program in Interactive Media, a day that culminates with the group taking its first class as graduate students.

Renovations to Alumni Gym continued this week as work crews knocked out the south wall of the gym to begin building a new main entrance to the home of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Phoenix basketball and volleyball teams.

Janet MacFall presented a paper on the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Sustainability Faculty Scholars Program at the annual meeting of the Ecological Society of America in Pittsburgh, Pa. Co-authors are Peter Felten, Elaine Durr and Michael Strickland.

Online registration for Family Weekend events opened Aug. 2 at noon.

Two bells with historic ties to ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ, including one that survived a fire that threatened the future of the school in its early years, were put on display Thursday at two different locations on campus.
