On April 8, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ School of Law hosted its final Reception with the Legal Community for the academic year. During the reception, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Law faculty presented Strongest Overall Performance awards to students for the 2008-2009 academic year.
BET’s Jeff Johnson speaks on diversity and leadership

“Diversity” has become a buzzword on college campuses that misses a larger point, said activist and BET personality Jeff Johnson, who visited campus Saturday for ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ’s inaugural Diversity Leadership Conference. More should be done to foster greater community, he said, and responsibility for that rests with student leaders.

ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Chapter of the Innocence Project hosts Greg Taylor, exonerated after 17 years in prison

On April 12, Greg Taylor told ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ Law students about his incredible story, spending 17 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. The North Carolina Innocence Inquiry Commission recently found Taylor innocent after nearly two decades in prison for a first-degree murder conviction.
