A film by alumnus Laith al-Majali, "Captain Abu Raed," can now be purchased as a DVD in the United States.
Majali, a 2005 graduate, edited and produced the film, which earned the World Cinema Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival in 2008. The movie tells the story of a lonely janitor at Amman’s International Airport. The janitor finds friendship with children, who think he is a pilot, by telling stories that encourages them to follow their own dreams.

Majali will return to ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ in May when he is scheduled to deliver the 120th Commencement address on Saturday, May 22nd.
