The Mary Duke Biddle Recital Series
The Ciompi Quartet was founded in 1965 at Duke University by renowned Italian violinist Giorgio Ciompi. Their ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ program will include classical and contemporary works, including David Garner’s I ain’t broke, but I’m badly bent (2009), thirteen fantasies on well-known fiddle tunes for the string quartet.
