The American Heart Association announced this week that ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ is one of eight Triad area companies to achieve national Start! Fit-Friendly recognition for promoting physical activity and health in the workplace.
Gold level Start! Fit-Friendly Company recognitions have been awarded locally to Cook Medical, Princess House, Salemtowne Retirement Community, Forsyth Medical Center, United Healthcare, Vf Corporation and ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ. The application for the recognition was submitted by ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s Wellness office.
Companies that achieve Platinum recognition – the highest tier – take the program a step further by measuring the outcomes of their wellness efforts. Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center has received Platinum level recognition as a Start! Fit-Friendly Company.
