Three ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ graduate students have launched a blog to share their experiences as they progress through ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ's Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
The blog chronicles the three-year program and recounts the experience as seen from the perspective of a student in each year. To visit the blog and learn more about the program, please visit the link to the right.
ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s Department of Physical Therapy Education was created in 1996, in partnership with Alamance Regional Medical Center. When ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ enrolled its first physical therapy class in 1998, the university offered a master’s degree. As physical therapists began to take on more substantial roles in the direct care of patients, the profession recommended transition into doctoral-level education. In 2003, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ debuted an innovative DPT program integrating dynamic classroom instruction with an impressive number of hands-on clinical opportunities.
