Brooke Barnett, Jessica Gisclair and George Padgett, all associate professors in the School of Communications, received a $5,000 grant from the McCormick Foundation to build First Amendment awareness on campus this fall.
The Liberty Tree Campus Initiative grant encourages universities to develop thought-provoking programs and invite nationally renowned speakers to help raise awareness of fundamental First Amendment freedoms on America’s college campuses. Information about programming for ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s campus event will be available in early September.
