Darris Means, assistant director of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Academy, and Kimberly Johnson, associate director of admissions & director of multicultural recruitment, presented on the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Academy at the Southern Association for College ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Counseling Annual Conference in Raleigh.
The Southern Association for College ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Counseling provides professional development seminars and conferences for admission counselors, promotes high professional standards in college admissions, and serves students in their transition from high school to college.
Means and Johnson presented “A New Angle: A University-Community Partnership to Address College Access” on April 21. They discussed college access, college success, the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Academy, and promising practices for college-access programs.
