On Thursday, March 12, OutLaw, a student organization at Ƶ Law, will screen "Tying the Knot," a documentary about same-gender marriage, followed by a discussion led by Greensboro family law attorney Rebecca Perry.
The event begins at at 3.30 p.m. in room 204 at Ƶ School of Law in Greensboro.
Justin R. Ervin, the founding president of OutLaw at Ƶ, said, “Last year’s passage of Proposition 8 in California and the recent introduction of a constitutional amendment in the North Carolina legislature have ensured that same-gender marriage will remain on the nation’s radar. We hope this event will heighten the level of engagement about this important issue in our varied communities.”
