Law student receives NAACP scholarship

David Morrow II, a 2007 ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ graduate and first-year student at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ School of Law, has received an NAACP Legal Defense Fund (LDF) Scholarship. The LDF’s Earl Warren Legal Training Program provides scholarship assistance to African American law students who are dedicated to civil rights and public interest work.

Growing up in a military family, Morrow has lived in a number of states and traveled extensively in Europe. He says his time in Alabama stirred his interest in attending law school. “I saw what the Civil Rightsmovement did for this country and thought I could make asimilar difference as a lawyer.” Morrow graduatedfrom ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ with a bachelor’s degree in political scienceand public administration and has expressed interest in working for thegovernment after law school.
