ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ parents Steven and Janice Glazer of Potomac, Md., have pledged $25,000 for The Endowment for Support of Hillel, the Jewish student organization at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ.
The role of Hillel in campus life is becoming more important as the number of Jewish students at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ increases. Hillel’s mission is to foster and promote relations among students, faculty and staff, and to encourage social and religious interaction that is consistent with Jewish values and spirituality. To ensure that the Jewish student body is ministered to effectively, the Glazers have chosen to endow this fund. Their daughter, Kim, is an ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ junior majoring in psychology.
Earnings from the fund will directly support the annual programming of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Hillel.
