ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students, staff work on grounds at Cummings High School

About 25 ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students and staff worked on the campus grounds at Cummings High School in Burlington on Oct. 28. Their work was part of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s Make-A-Difference Day efforts.

Tom Flood, superintendent of landscaping and grounds, organized the volunteer effort, coordinating with officials at the high school.

Eighteen members of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ baseball team were joined by ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ landscaping personnel and President Leo M. Lambert. They mulched gardens, trimmed trees and bushes, planted grass and fertilized, powerwashed surfaces and painted trash cans.

About 150 other students took part in various Make-A-Difference day activities at 10 sites in the area.
