Flood, Rhodes host grounds, landscaping conference

Tom Flood, superintendent of landscaping and grounds, and Larry Rhodes, sports turf manager, hosted the first Atlantic Coast Conference/Southern Conference Grounds Managers and Landscape Architects Conference on the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ campus June 14-15.

Professionals from 17 universities in the two conferences attended seminars and campus tours. The group was welcomed to campus by President Leo M. Lambert, while Vice President of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ and Financial Planning Susan Klopman joined Flood for a program titled, “The Power of Presentation, The Role of the Campus Landscape in Marketing the University.”

Participants were highly complimentary of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ’s campus landscape and facilities. After two days of touring nearly the entire campus, one particpant commented, “show us your bad stuff, too!”
