Reporter Nancy Lee and photojournalist Brad Ingram spent close to an hour gathering interviews during their visit to the polling lab in Powell building. The piece aired during WGHP’s 10 p.m. newscast on Oct. 23, and again during the morning show Oct. 24.
The story included interviews with Erica Stanley and Brian Rash, two of the 27 students who comprise the polling staff. Sharon Spray, assistant professor of political science and director of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Poll, was also interviewed.
ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students conduct the poll using sophisticated polling and computer equipment. The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Poll, which started in September 2000, surveys the opinions of North Carolinians on important political and public policy matters.
