The poll was conducted Oct. 16-18 and involved approximately 65 students who worked in the polling lab located in Powell building.

The poll was coordinated by Sharon Spray, assistant professor of political science, and director of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Poll and the Center for Public Opinion Polling.

About 700 North Carolina families were contacted and asked questions about national and state races as well as political efficacy and trust in state and local government.

A sample finding: 51.6% of respondents chose education as one of the most important issues facing the state.

Another ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Poll will be conducted Nov. 5-6 and the final poll this semester will be conducted immediately following the Nov. 7 election.
