White received the award from the Sports Development Council, which operates under the Burlington/Alamance County Convention and Visitors Bureau, during the luncheon at Alamance Country Club.
The award honors White’s role in bringing recognition to Alamance County through ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s successful athletics program, and his contributions to the county’s sports scene.
White is in his 23rd year as ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s athletics director. He has guided the program through the transition from NAIA membership to its current NCAA Division I status. During his career, ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ teams have won four national championships and numerous conference titles.
