The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Career Center practiced what it preaches Nov. 11 by hosting two Southern Alamance High School students during their Job Shadow Day.
Southern High English teacher Lynn Bare-Hester and career development coordinator Judy Harrington sent Brandi Haithcock and Jessica Pittman to explore counseling careers with the staff at the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Career Center. They observed several counseling sessions with ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students and sat in on a career class taught by Jim Allison, leaving with a better understanding of counseling career opportunities.
Career Center counselors often advise ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students to shadow professionals in their career field of interest and welcomed the opportunity to participate in the Southern High School Job Shadow Day.
