ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s Isabella Cannon Centre for International Studies will host a study abroad fair from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 20 in McKinnon Hall, located in the Moseley Center on campus. The fair is open to ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ students.
More than two dozen representatives from ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s various study abroad offerings in countries such as Australia, China, England and Italy have been invited to answer questions and provide information about their specific programs. Academic advisors will be available to help students select study abroad programs that fit their major field of study. Staff members from campus offices such as financial planning and career services will also be available to answer questions.
This is ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ’s first study abroad fair, says Emma Jones, study abroad coordinator and publicity coordinator for the Cannon Centre. “This event will give students all the information they need about study abroad,” says Jones. “Students can also learn about internship opportunities in other countries and get information about working abroad after graduation.”
ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ sends more undergraduate students to study abroad than any other master’s-level school in the nation. Sixty-three percent of students study abroad at least once during their time at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ.
