A bench adjacent to Holland House was dedicated Thursday, May 13 in memory of Cindy Sykes ’71, coordinator of gift records in institutional advancement, who died Nov. 5. She had worked at ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ for 27 years.
Chaplain Richard McBride offered opening remarks and several other members of the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ community recalled their friendship with Cindy. Sykes’ husband, Randy, and her daughter, Angie, attended the ceremony.
Memorial benches are dedicated in honor of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ employees who die during their term of service to the university.
