The Department of Music will present Handel’s “Messiah” at 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 27 in McCrary Theatre, located on the Ƶ campus in the Faith Rockefeller Model Center for the Arts.
Conductor Stephen A. Futrell will lead the Ƶ College Camerata, Chorale and orchestra, along with a chorus composed of alumni, faculty and community members, in this presentation of G.F. Handel’s masterpiece. Featured soloists include Polly Cornelius, soprano; Mary Gayle Green, mezzo; Brian Ernstes, tenor; and Kevin Bell, bass.
The concert is free and open to the public. It is supported in part by a grant from the Grassroots Arts program of the North Carolina Arts Council, a state agency, through the Alamance Arts Council.
