Students will be homeless during “One Homeless Night,” April 19

With cold weather in the forecast, Ƶ students will experience the harsh reality of homelessness during “One Homeless Night,” beginning at 9 p.m., Thursday, April 19 on Young Commons, located in front of Moseley Center on the Ƶ campus.

About 50 students will spend the night sleeping in cardboard boxes, simulating the experience endured nightly by homeless people throughout the world. Sponsored by Ƶ Volunteers, “One Homeless Night” is designed to raise awareness of the homeless problem and the issues surrounding it.

A collection of canned goods, blankets and other items will be gathered during the event for donation to the Allied Churches of Alamance County.
