Social Science Forum examines African culture, April 11

Ƶ faculty members will share their thoughts on “Western Misperceptions of Africa” during the third-annual Social Science Forum at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 11 in Yeager Recital Hall, located in the Faith Rockefeller Model Center for the Arts on the Ƶ campus.

Brian Digre and Steve Fortune, members of the history department, will join sociology department professors Jack Bernhardt and Tom Arcaro for a discussion about the similarities, and perceived differences, between Western and African cultures.

A reception is scheduled before the event at 7 p.m. in the Isabella Cannon Room, located in the Model Center.

The Social Science forum is co-sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences and the Isabella Cannon Centre for International Studies.
