The Ƶ campus community is invited to celebrate the culture of health and well-being with a special College Coffee and events throughout the day. All events will have exciting giveaways and opportunities to win great prizes. In addition, there will be “health forward” eating ideas and samples shared throughout the day, courtesy of Harvest Table.

All events are FREE, and open to students, faculty and staff!

College Coffee

9:40 – 10:20 a.m. | Phi Beta Kappa Commons

Connect with the community, enjoy the “health forward” breakfast food options and celebrate the progress of the Slattery Center (HealthEU Center) at College Coffee.

Designing for Well-Being Workshop

10:30 – 11:15 a.m. | Belk Library 102

This workshop explores the six dimensions of wellness and Ƶ’s Act, Belong, Commit framework to help participants cultivate practices for holistic wellness and well-being. During this workshop, participants will frame their wellness goals, explore the latest research on well-being and generate actionable opportunities for achieving short- and long-term wellness goals.

DIY Self-Care Boxes

10:30 a.m. – noon | Young Commons

Drop by the Phoenix Free and SPARKS tables to build your own self-care box. Choose items to help you stay grounded and rest during times of stress and overwhelm, including journals, sleep masks, herbal teas and aromatherapy from SPARKS and the Mind Body Connection Suite.

Fleet Feet on Campus

11 a.m. – 3 p.m. | Koury Concourse

Fleet Feet Fit Experts are available to help you find the perfect pair of shoes using 3D foot scans and gait analysis. Select from a range of bestselling shoes, socks and inserts available for purchase. Reserve a time using the or drop by.

Drum, Destress and Decompress!

1:30 – 2:15 p.m. | Young Commons

Have fun in a supportive and encouraging space to learn and experience how rhythm and connection support self-regulation to destress and decompress. No drum or music experience is needed. Frame drums will be available, provided through the Heart Beats Innovation Grant. This session will be led by Bonny Buckley, counselor in Counseling Services.

CommUnity Field Day

2:30 – 4 p.m. | Young Commons

Join health communication minors, Phoenix Free, and Club sports for an afternoon of field-day fun. There will be games, including corn hole, egg races, water balloon toss, jumbo Jenga, community building activities, prizes and ice cream.

STARS Celebration

4 – 5 p.m. | Lakeside Meeting Rooms

Join us in celebrating Ƶ’s most recent Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS) report, featuring food, interactive activities and exciting prizes. Learn about Ƶ’s sustainability efforts, connect with others and discover ways to get involved at this session hosted by the Office of Sustainability. Be sure to pick up a tote bag (limited quantities) from the HealthEU table.

Explore the Pilates System

4:15 – 5:15 p.m. | Needham Pilates Studio (bottom floor of the Koury Fitness Center)

Have you walked by the Needham Pilates Studio and been curious about the equipment? Visit during this open house, hosted by Lauren Kearns, Maude Sharpe Powell Professor and professor of dance, to learn more about Pilates and its comprehensive system and try introductory exercises. Drop in anytime and stay as long as you’d like.

Pickleball Smash

5 – 7 p.m. | Outdoor courts at the Gerald L. Francis Center

Enjoy pickleball and snacks at the outdoor courts. Paddles will be available, and you can pick up a HealthEU T-shirt (limited quantities) to wear during your match. Feel free to drop in at any time or register for a time slot using the .
